Detailed information about topics mentioned in the handbook are provided below. Here is a summary of the tasks to complete and links to access before your child commences with us in 2025. 

  1. Review what the first day looks like.
  2. Buy your stationery.
  3. Sign your laptop agreement which will be emailed in mid January.
  4. Book your uniform appointment.
  5. Return your medical forms.
  6. Familiarise yourself with the BCE Connect App.
  7. Read the Technology Usage Agreement and Device Policy.
  8. Explore the sport/music offerings and complete the expression of interest forms.
  9. Mark the Year 7 camp in your diary.
  10. Check the transport options available.
  11. Complete your fee payment forms and email them to finance.
  12. Diarise term dates and pupil free days.​


First Day of school in 202​​​​​​​5

Wednesday 29 January:  First day of school for Year 7 and Year 11 students only.  Formal Uniform please.​

Year 7 and 11 students to meet in  Samaritan Court located at the bottom of the Prospect Road Carpark.   At 8.30am there will be an initial welcome and then Year 7 students will split into their houses for a year level assembly.    Laptop rollout will begin in the afternoon.

Year 7 student to bring lunchbox, water bottle and a couple of exercise books and pens.   


New Students from years 8 to 11 - Wednesday 29 January - 9.00 am -11.30am

New students who are joining Mt Maria College from years 8 to 11 will have 2.5 hours onboarding with Mr Ian Sweeney - Education Leader Pastoral.  

Please meet  at College Reception for a 9.00.am start.  Casual clothes can be worn.   Students will be dismissed by 11.30am.​

Thursday 30 January:  All students attend Years 7 to 12​

  • Formal uniform to be worn​​

Stationery Lists and Textbooks 


Mt Maria College is pleased to offer parents the convenience and savings of a Textbook Hire Scheme.  Our Lending policy and procedures along with a textbook hire agreement will be emailed home in the week prior to school starting in January 2025 for our Year 7 cohort.


Laptop Program 

School laptops are provided to students on commencement of enrolment.  The laptop is leased over a 3-year cycle for either Years 7-9 or Years 10-12.  The school retains ownership of the laptop and the laptop is returned at the end of year 9 or 12 or when a student leaves the college.   

The Mt Maria Student Technology Agreement will be provided prior to starting at the College and Acknowledgement and Agreement request will be emailed home the week prior to starting in 2025. The lease of our laptops are included in the Mt Maria College Fees and Levies.

School Uniform 

Mt Maria College Uniform shop is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7.30 – 11.30am. 

  • Formal uniform is worn on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday unless your student has a practical HPE lesson.
  • Students are permitted to wear their sports uniform to school on Wednesday and the day they have a practical HPE lesson
  • Mt Maria College school bag to be worn to and from school
  • The College hat must be worn 5 days a week to and from school and during breaks

Medical Forms

Current ASCIA Action Plans are the 2023 versions. However, prior versions (2022 and 2021) are still valid for use in 2025.  ASCIA Action Plans do not expire, and therefore the plan is still valid beyond the date of review, which is a guide for patients to see their doctor. ​​Getting to Mt Maria College

Mt Maria College has two entrances Prospect Road and Osborne Road.   

Mitchelton Train Station is opposite the Osborne Road entrance to the College with traffic lights for a safe crossing. 

Brookside Bus​ Interchange for Translink services is just a short walk to the Osborne Road entrance.  

Ride to school - bike racks are availabe at our Senior Multipurpose Centre off Prospect Road and the ground level of Montagne Building off Osborne Road. Students are responsible for securing the bike themselves with a bike lock.

Brisbane Bus Lines run school services from many suburbs into Mt Maria College.  These services can drop off along Samford Road or Brookside Bus Interchange.   Please follow this link for Mt Maria College services.

Fee Statements are emailed to families in Term 1 and updated statements sent in Term 2, 3 & 4​

Sibling Discounts available - applied to the Tuition Fee​

Direct Debit Payments or Recurring Credit Payments are to be set up to pay fees throughout the year​ - forms below to complete.   
Instalments intervals can vary to suit your family budget eg: full year, each term, monthly, fortnightly or weekly.​

Lockers and combination locks 

All Year 7 and new students are provided with a locker and a combination lock in their first few days of school.   Second hand or new locks can be purchased at Student Reception for damaged or lost locks.  Video instructions are  below if your student needs a little more help with their lock.

Contact the College 

Term College Reception hours are 8.00am to 3.00pm.  The College Office will be closed at the end of school Thursday 5th December 2024 and will reopen January 17, 2025, 10am - 2.30pm.   Due to staff professional development, the office hours may vary in the days before school commences.  Please check BCE Connect for updates to this schedule.  

​If the matter is urgent please, please phone the College on (07) 3550 3400 or email mtmariame@bne.catholic.edu.au.  These will be regularly attended to throughout the holiday period. A staff member will get back to you as soon as practicable.​
